I am contacting you because of my position on the Inquiry Conference and Journal team at the Kennedy Center. Each fall we host a conference which provides students the opportunity to receive training on presenting at an academic conference, give a 15-minute individual presentation on their research, and participate in a panel discussion with other students, faculty, and the public about global issues.
It is my understanding that your club focuses on international topics and issues and therefore draws internationally-minded individuals to its ranks. Would you be willing to allow me to present at your club and pass out or email flyers to your club members to inform them about this incredible opportunity? Although paper submissions are not due until September 22, 2017, we feel it is beneficial to begin making students aware of this opportunity as soon as possible as we know that many students spend the spring and/or summer term(s) studying abroad, working an internship, or engaged in efforts to complete senior research papers.
