About Us

BYU's Anti-Human Trafficking club is geared toward helping students achieve three ends in the fight against modern slavery: 1) Education 2) Advocacy and 3) Fundraising.

Education is to help club members learn more about human trafficking and the way it affects us and others. The more that is known about a problem, the more that can be done to help solve it.

Advocacy is to help the state of Utah put laws into place that will be more effective in fighting slavey and helping its victims. This group researches Utah laws and proposes possible legislation to the Utah Congress.

Fundraising is how we help the people on the front lines. Since we are in school and cannot reach out personally to modern slaves, we can help those who can by raising money in support of the cause. The way we can do this is through Care Week, one week of the semester in which we as a club can accept donations.

If you are a student and would like to work with us to help end modern slavery, please email us at byuahtc@gmail.com with your name and contact information and we will get back to you shortly.

If you are an NGO and want to connect with BYU campus and take advantage of our resources and energy, please email byuahtc@gmail.com.
